the ideal candidate:

  • 2+ years working in a Graphic Design role or similar 
  • Takes pride in their work, with strong attention to detail 
  • Strong experience of working with Mac operating systems & Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator
  • Strong organisational & time management skills
  • Excellent communication
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptable and resilient to last minute changes with experience working on multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Comfortable using own initiative on design projects 
  • Has a good understanding of brand consistency 
  • Knowledge of printing processes & an interest in structural design is preferable

scope of the role:

  • Join the itsu grocery brand team as one of three in-house Graphic Designers [projects split by category]
  • Work closely with the Product Development & Artwork team on all itsu [grocery] packaging, managing concept through to artwork [design concepts to be briefed to our in-house artworker]. Occasional support with artworking may be required.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and in line with briefs, clearly communicating design project status to key stakeholders
  • Create content [still and moving images] for itsu.com & social channels [no coding knowledge or CMS experience required]
  • Work with Brand Director & the marketing team on producing creative for trade and brand campaigns. Working across multiple formats inc print, digital, in-store POS, etc.
  • Create marketing collateral  for internal & external presentations, brand brochures, and other internal assets.
  • Oversee the creation of best in class physical product mock-ups for internal` & external meetings. Managing external printing suppliers and internal budgets & timelines.
  • Design innovation – constantly looking for new, unexpected, and improved ways to express the brand
