The role of IT Reporting Analyst is essential for the ongoing maintenance, improvement and monitoring of our data infrastructure and reporting. They will be responsible for gathering business requirements, being a key point of contact for the business on data and reporting infrastructure, managing development backlogs, incident management, and supporting projects that are revolutionising the way we collect, store, process, and utilise data. Understanding the need for change and the root cause of issues and providing a clear path to implementation and resolution is key to the role.

Data Architecture and Management: Document current data architecture, support the Enterprise Applications Manager by contributing to new reporting capabilities, and oversee third-party data warehouse providers.

Requirement Gathering and Prioritisation: Collect business requirements, manage development backlog, design reports and reporting dashboards and prioritise tasks to align with reporting project goals.

Data Analysis and Insights: Develop and maintain data models, ETL processes, and pipelines within the Data Warehouse and reporting tools for accurate data integrity.

4.

Technical Expertise: Use SQL/Python/Spark for data extraction and manipulation. Proficient in BI tools like Power BI for data visualisation. Support testing and prepare Runbooks for system changes.

5.

Collaboration and Support: Work closely with IT teams, handle incident management for data infrastructure, and provide second-line support for report and data warehouse issues.

  • Work with Enterprise Applications Manager to define data architecture and strategy for itsu.
  • Manage and support third party providers that develop and maintain the data warehouse.
  • Develop and maintain backlog of requirements and prioritise development to align to project deliverables.
  • Support the development and general maintenance of forecasting solutions that may use automated or machine-learning–based methods, ensuring they continue to operate reliably.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain data models, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Create documentation, user guides, and training materials to facilitate the adoption of reporting solutions across the organization.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and reporting.
  • Work with the Enterprise Applications Manager and Tech team to deliver, well supported, new technical capabilities and change management to the business e.g. Operations’ applications, forecasting solutions, back-office systems, MDM, and new data platform
  • Prepare Runbooks and achieve sign off in readiness for each change event to business system applications (both planned and in response to incidents)
  • Be a 2nd line support for data warehouse and data infrastructure related issues.

  • Proven experience (3 years) working as a reporting analyst or similar role, preferably in an IT environment.
  • Proficiency in BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI; preferred.
  • Skills in SQL/Python/Spark for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis; Preferred.
  • Experience with data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and operations.
  • Experience in supporting data issues within business systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
  • Experience of the retail environment or an area of the QSR business process would be an advantage.
